WRITING EFFECTIVE JOB ADVERTS (half day)

WRITING EFFECTIVE JOB ADVERTS (half day)
Target and attract the right candidates cost effectively

Course Overview
John Wanamaker once said "I know that half of my advertising dollars are wasted ... I just don't know which half."
While that used to be the case for many of us, the internet has certainly helped enormously with measuring the effectiveness of adverts we write and which outlets work best. Print media are also working hard to monitor the recruiter’s return on investment. And who can blame them? After all, with pay per click and social networking sites all vying for a share of the spoils it’s potentially ‘happy days’ for recruiters. Indeed, for many of us, the first question is ‘Should I advertise or is there another way of getting my message in front of a potential candidate?’ With your own advertising budget probably being tighter than before, while of course you will still be advertising, maximising your return on investment (ROI) is vital. So when you do advertise, via your own website, a number of free jobsites, a plethora of paid for job boards (both niche and mainstream), national papers and industry journals and more to choose from, it has never been more important to get your adverts right. A well written attention grabbing advert will reap its own rewards a hundred times over. A poorly written one is money down the drain

Who Should Attend?
Anyone who is accountable for writing and placing adverts or managing others who do. In addition, those responsible for a marketing function or budget would do well to be on top of their game in these challenging times.
