Use LinkedIn to boost your website traffic
Most of us have heard the term SEO (Search Engine Optimisation). Google, Bing & Yahoo place great emphasis on keywords when ranking sites and, crucially, the number of other sites pointing people to your site via these keywords (backlinks).

LinkedIn gives you a great reason to help boost your rankings & visibility by giving you the opportunity to have up to three outbound links. Typically these will be used for your website, blog, Twitter or your job page etc. Well, while you can have these links pointed anywhere you want, you can also pick the anchor text (keywords) too. That means that you can let Google and other search engines know about your site via LinkedIn and give Google & co the right keywords.

Here is how you can do it: If you go to “edit profile”, scroll down to the website section, where you will see edit buttons. If you for example add your company’s website –don’t select “my company” in the drop down, instead choose “other” and then enter the text as your target keywords. It’s as simple as that.
