Do not mention the word recruitment
Don’t talk recruitment – talk business.

So, you get through to the decision maker - woo hoo - you’re on!  And what do you say? “Hi, we haven’t spoken before. Let me introduce myself – blah, blah, recruitment, recruitment, etc.”

How often has he or she heard the recruitment pitch that same day or during that week? Your contact is busy. Busy doing what they do. So, instead of talking about recruitment, talk about what they do. Become a good contact who can add value to what they need to know. Ask them what value you can add. They do their job 24/7 and very seldom do they get involved in recruitment, so talk their language.
