“Rather than simply lecture, Warren actively encouraged discussion and debate and created an atmosphere where delegates felt comfortable to open up with their own ideas and suggestions. Occasionally being split into twos and threes, we carried out exercises and mini-projects which were then discussed openly with the audience in order to get the most from the experience and knowledge of the individual participants.
The seminar covered a wide range of topics including advice on growing and maintaining your desk, working relationships, and strategies and techniques for ways to improve the good work you’ve already done. I was particularly impressed with Warren’s Performance Improvement Grid or PIG - a grid system which enables you to assess what to start and stop doing, and what to do more and less of, which can be used across the board to make you a more effective recruiter.
Talking to the wide variety of front-line recruiters who had signed up for the course, it was clear from the many enthusiastic comments that they found it both challenging and highly practical and that they would be putting many of the ideas raised into action as soon as they got back to their offices.”
